ADSL stands for ‘Asymmetric Digital Subscriber line’. ADSL is the most cost effective way to have fast access internet service that is ‘always on’. ADSL makes it much faster to get online and to download information from the internet than other connection methods do. The ‘A’ in ADSL stands for ‘Asymmetric’, which means that you will download faster than you can upload.

Our ADSL service can download at speeds from 1.5 Mbps up to 6 Mbps. Upload speeds range from 384 Kbps to 768 Kbps. Length of line and line quality will cause actual speed to vary. Because ADSL is always on, you don’t have to wait to make a connection to get on the internet. You can be on line in an instant, whenever you want.

An installation kit will be provided by Plexcom Networks at a minimal cost to the customer.

Yes. You can talk on the phone while your computer is connected to the internet. With ADSL, a micro-filter is used which has outputs for both internet and telephone and these can be used at the same time.

No. With Plexcom’s NPS (No phone Service) DSL customers can receive the same great DSL service without a phone line. This service is great for customers using Voice over IP or cellular service instead of traditional landline phone service.

When you sign up for ADSL, you will obtain either 3, 5 or 10 email accounts, depending on which service you choose.
